User’s Guide

This User’s Guide describes the Serendipitous Source Catalogues from overlapping XMM-Newton observations. Their latest – fourth – release is 4XMM-DR11s (Dec. 2020). The catalogue release papers Traulsen et al. 2019, A&A 624, A77, and 2020, A&A 641, A137, give details on the data selection, the data processing, and the catalogue construction.
